Eddie grew up helping his father in his gardening and nursery business since he was 9 years old. It was hard work and the summers long but the satisfaction of being able to create and maintain distinctive gardens that the client used and enjoyed made all those efforts worthwhile. Being a problem solver and helping clients find creative landscape solutions was very satisfying. With this in mind, Eddie pursued a degree in landscape Architecture and graduated from the University of Washington in 1988. His first ‘real job’ was working at an engineering company doing natural resource work- a great position where he gained additional expertise creating wildlife habitats and mitigating for wetlands.
It wasn’t long before Eddie’s childhood roots came calling back and with his father’s encouragement, in 1990 returned to self-employment. In the years to follow, he continued his education and obtained a Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) certificate as well as expertise in irrigation systems design, and acquired his pesticide applicators license. Since the early 90′s, the business has steadily grown to nearly 50 employees comprising of a strong leadership team that is focused on delivering the finest in landscape design and maintenance services to their valued customers. The company’s growth has allowed him the opportunity to focus on developing new products and services that will add value, comfort, and appeal to your home and commercial property.
Part of Eddie’s success came from following a core set of values and principles that focused on treating customers with the dignity and respect they deserve, provide an outstanding product and service at a fair price, then follow up with great customer service and in turn, you will earn their loyalty. To this day, with the help of his leadership team, Eddie still measures success one customer at a time.
Eddie is married with 3 children in which he loves spending time with them playing, doing homework, traveling and anything else that comes in mind.
Construction Division Manager
Division Manager, Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance
Monte joined Uyeta Landscape and Maintenance in 2012. His current role with Uyeta Landscape and Maintenance is the Residential and Commercial Division Manager. He has held various management/leadership positions in both the Residential and Commercial markets over his 28 years within the industry. His professional experience has been in landscape architectural design, operations management, portfolio/client management, and business development.
Monte earned a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Washington State University, which in turn has added value to our various client’s gardens and commercial properties. Activities away from the office you will find him up on the mountain teaching young kids the sport of skiing, gardening, spending time with family, and supporting the W.S.U. Cougars.
Chief Administrative Officer, Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance
Pinneke Tjandana is Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance’s chief administrative officer and a member of it’s management team. She oversees day-to-day business operations that drive the business strategy for the company including Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Marketing.
She joined Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance in 2009 as an addition member of its accounting division before becoming CAO in 2015.
Pinneke Tjandana holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with minor in Mathematics from University of Washington.
Marketing Coordinator, Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance
Berta joined our accounting team in the summer of 2011. She comes with a long list of achievements to include an AA in Professional Business Management as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Berta heads up our Marketing Department as Marketing & Sales Coordinator. Her experience in a “results-focused” business acumen coupled with a dedication to organizational goals rounds out our team at Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance.
When not at work, Berta follows her favorite sports team: The Seattle Mariner’s, Nascar, and being a gloating Grandma!
Accounts Receivable Manager, Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance
Melissa has nearly 20 years of accounting experience. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where she attended Kindergarten through college. She is the Accounts Receivable Manager, does some H.R. work, and also does payroll for Uyeta Landscape and Maintenance. Melissa came to Uyeta Landscape in 2014 as a temp – fell in love with the atmosphere and team, and decided to make it her home. She spends her free time reading, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandson.
Commercial Field Manager, Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance
Ramiro Silva is Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance’s commercial field manager. He is responsible of executing maintenance services for an assigned client base in accordance with contract specification and within given budgeted parameters.
He joined Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance in 2012 as crew supervisor and worked his way up to become field manager in 2016. He works closely with crew supervisors and landscape technician to ensure that they are trained properly and completing daily task the “Uyeta Way”. He oversee the maintenance crews and scheduling of job sites, review job performance with division manager. He is the primary contact for commercial customers, identify enhancements need and opportunities, propose an estimate on new and existing accounts.
He holds a Pesticide License and is working towards his CLT (Certified Landscape Technician).
